Modern and historic Atlantic Salmon flies. All flies have been dressed on handmade B&R blind eye hooks made by well known hookmaker, Byron Bjerke. The hooks themselves are a work of art. All flies have been tied with a twisted gut eye as were the were the original versions. Authentic materials have been used whenever possible and the best possible substitutes whenever necessary. These flies have been hand crafted by John D. McKellop, a fly tyer of nearly 50 years. After retiring from 41 years of practicing dentistry, he has turn his time and attention to tying the artistic salmon flies you see offered here. 

The flies have been mounted on small plastic pegs and attached by fine nylon thread making the mounting nearly invisible and the fly appear to be floating above the matting. They have been framed and matted by a professional framer using museum glass.
