This fly is a pattern originated by Major John Popkin Traherne. His flies are often considered to be the most artistic flies of the Victorian era. This fly has been dressed on a B&R Harrison Bartleet 6/0 hook. This pattern utilizes the Macaw wing coverts and is accented by Indian Crow and Blue Chatterer substitutes as well as European Jay for the throat.
