Nelly Bly

This fly is a pattern originated by Major John Popkin Traherne. His flies are often considered to be the most artistic flies of the Victorian era. This fly has been dressed on a B&R Jock Scott 7/0 hook. The full feather wings are from the wing coverts of a Scarlet Macaw. The Jungle Cock eyes and Jay feathers form the keel and body segment veilings. The Scarlet Macaw horns accent the disctinctive wings.
