This fly is a pattern originated by Major John Popkin Traherne. His flies are often considered to be the most artistic flies of the Victorian era. This fly has been dressed on a B&R Jock Scott 7/0 hook. This pattern utilizes Lady Amherst pheasant and Jungle Cock eyes forming the keel to give it its distinvtive appearance. It has color accents from Indian Crow substitute and Scarlet Macaw horns.
