Full Day of Guided Fly Fishing with Ray

Service Description

Ray and Kate at Double SS Outdoors put you front and center of the best fly-fishing the Great Lakes region has to offer. Ray has guided fly anglers for over 4 decades and has earned his place as one of North America’s best guides. (Fly Rod and Reel Magazine) Ray has limited days available but we work with the best guides in the territory to book you a few days on the water. Trout, Steelhead, Salmon and Smallmouth Bass are our targets depending on season. Our rate is $450 per day (our day is generally 6-7 hours on the water) for one or two anglers. We include a nice lunch, equipment such as rods, reels and all leader materials. If you are staying with us we will also take you to and from the river. What’s not included is a Michigan fishing license, personal clothing like rain gear and protective layering. Flies are not included so if you are a tier we will send patterns and instruction (our web site has all of this also) or simply buy flies from us online or at our shop when you arrive. We generally discourage drinking alcohol on the water but if you enjoy toasting a great catch we are good with that. We are 100% catch and release so please don’t ask to take a fish home. A $200 deposit per day is necessary to secure your spot. We generally don’t refund deposits but we will make every attempt to re-sell your scheduled time if such an event occurs and then we would refund a deposit. Transferring a deposit to another time is not an option. We accept cash, credit cards or personal checks for payment of our services.
