2020 Nipigon Women’s Fly-fishing School

Here’s a great opportunity that doesn’t come around very often - An all women’s fly-fishing school conducted by FFI certified master women's fly casting instructor. Our friend Wanda Taylor is nationally known as an outstanding fly angler and Master fly-fishing instructor. She sits on TFO’s (Temple Fork Outfitters) National Advisory Board and advises other companies in our industry on women’s gear and clothing. Wanda, along with Kate Smith will be at the world famous Nipigon River Lodge in Ontario, Canada to conduct this 3 day program.
Here are the details.
Day 1: Afternoon arrival at the lodge in Red Rock, Ontario. That evening after dinner there will be a complete rundown of events.
Day 2: Spend the day with Wanda and Kate learning casting skills, rod and line handling, fly selection and how to fish them. Every aspect of the game will be covered including the latest knots to use for best results.
Day 3: Guided fly-fishing on the famous Nipigon River for giant Brook Trout and a recap of the day after dinner.
Day 4: Guided fly-fishing on the waters of Nipigon (river and lake) and a recap of the day after dinner.
Day 5: Depart after breakfast.
Cost is $1,875 US per student
This school is all inclusive, lodging, meals, instruction, and guides for two full days. You are responsible for your fishing license, gratuities, and alcohol. (lodge serves wine with dinners)
We suggest a 7 or 8 weight rod with matching floating line as well as a streamer tip line on a spare spool. All aspects of top water and streamer fishing will be part of this program. Gear can be supplied but we recommend you have your own for continued learning.
